Some free advice to anybody good enough to play college football: try to get involved with your team's summer conditioning program as early as possible.

Exhibit A through R were on display this morning at NDSU's conditioning practice. Picking out the new players was like me getting an exemption to the PGA Tour and playing in a threesome with Tiger and Phil. You need to be in cardiovascular shape to play football.

Take Josh Horner, for example. The freshman running back from Fargo South worked out with the Bison players over the summer and had the look of a returning veteran on the first day. He was not intimidated a bit.
