Toni Tollefson from LPA signed with the Bison for track next year. Had a high jump of 1.72 meters to win the section meet in Thief River Falls. She'll go to the Minnesota state meet this weekend. To put it into perspective, the winning women's high jump at this spring's Summit meet was 1.7 meters.

Toni is now a two-time high jump champion at state, and junior LP-A classmate Ashley Tinglestad had the fastest prelim times in the 100, 200, and 400. The finals for these dashes are on Saturday the 7th. Go LP-A!!!

I'm pretty sure she's only a junior so it'll have to wait.

But, Holy Carp, she ran a 55.83 in the 400 - there were a LOT of male sprinters when I was in HS who couldn't go that fast. For comparison's sake, Laura Roesler ran a 55.76 at state. That would have been a photo finish.
