How about that hockey game last night. Pittsburgh wins in 3 overtimes 4-3 over Detroit. The series now 3-2 in Detroit's favor, but heading back to Pittsburgh on Wed night. If you are a fan of sports in general you have to at least watch a portion of this next game. Some of the best hockey I have ever watched. Puts baseball, soccer, golf and basketball to shame. These guys are putting everything into the game every minute on the ice. To me hockey takes more overall talent and physical exertion than any other team game. Flame away, but only if you watched some of this series........

All I have to say is

SUCK IT, DETROIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I watched the game tying goal and the winner in OT, all I could think about is all those thousands of dingus Red Wing fans and how they went home totally crushed. Does that make me a bad person?

I was thinking the same thing Tatanka.

I tuned into the game when overtime started. I had never in my life seen more tired hockey players on a rink than I saw last night in the 3rd OT. Those first couple OTs were amazing to watch, because you knew both teams wanted it sooooo bad, then it started looking sad when players like Gonchar for the Pens started breaking down. But Gonchar got his revenge though with the winning goal. One of the Wings players I swear looked like he was going to keel over and die when they zoomed to him on the bench.

Awesome game. I fell asleep right after the Pens scored the winning goal.

I think zetterberg of detroit is by far the best player on the ice
no offense to crosby and malkin but he can just dominate a game
i am pulling for the pens though

This is coming from a Dallas Stars fan BTW: NOPE.
Malkin needs to step it up, he's been nonexistent this series and Fluery needs to keep standing on his head. Please hockey gods game 7!!!:praying:

I agree about this recent complete lack of Malkin's production. Seems like he's afraid to take any shots anymore. He's always passing when I'm expecting a blistering rocket at the goal. He needs a little Ovechkinitis - it's OK to step in and take a few extra shots... Either that, or his parents need to fly across the pond again...

Watched the last two games at the local drinking establishment with a rabid hater from Buffalo. On Saturday, he was darn close to taking a 2X4 across the face. Last night, he was pretty quiet - especially after that Kronwall feller scored for the Pens. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/hockeygoallightsmilies.gif http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/omgoopssmilies-1.gifhttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/hockeygoallightsmilies.gif http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/19.gifhttp://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/hockeygoallightsmilies.gif

In other news, that triple overtime excitement cost me dearly today - it has left me barely functioning ever since the bloody alarm clock went off at 5 this morning. Worth every blessed bit, though...

So, why do you guys hate the Red Wings so much? Honest question. I know nothing about hockey or the teams, so I am not baiting anybody here. My dad has always been a Red Wings fan...and he's over 80, so it has been a long time. I heard on Lex & Terry this morning that they won 11 championships so far. My guess is that is the most or at least close to? Is it a Yankees kind of thing? Do they buy championships?

PLUS.. have you been to detroit??? its the biggest shithole in the USA!! up by Greektown area you might as well wear KEVLAR!!

I just don't like Detriot's uni's. They look too much like Wisconsin's uni's.

I really don't like the Pen's either but it was the lesser of two evils for me.

I work with some guys from Western Michigan and they're total cherry pickers. Chicago for this Detroit for that and ...naturally they've selected the Red Wings over the Blackhawks.

If you're from Westen North Dakota and a Broncos fan but follow the Twins, I get that, there wasn't any baseball in Denver when you formed your interests. But if you're from Western Michigan if should be lump it or leave it. Detroit and Chicago have had a full slate of teams for your entire life time.

So, I'm a Denver Broncos fan, but a St Louis Cardinals fan for baseball. I was a Lakers fan, but I can't stand Kobe. Is that wrong? I don't think so. You like who you like and you stick with them (I'll be a Lakers fan again after Kobe leaves).

What's wrong with Kobe? He busts his ass every game, he's had some problems in the offseason but can you honestly say that Lakers would be anywhere without him? The Montreal Canadiens have won 24 cups. (they used to win it like every year) http://www.nhlmatchups.com/stanley-cup/all-winners.php I hate Detroit mainly for the Hockeytown thing. They aren't hockeytown. If you were going to pick an NHL "Hockeytown it would have to be St. Paul. Wild sell out every game and they're fans are the best in the NHL. You going to see Lex&Terry at RibFest transam? Man Taint was drunk this morning.

I've always thought Kobe was a whiner. Back when him and Shaq were together he would just whine and complain. Just didn't like the attitude. Not saying he isn't a great player...just don't like him.

Not going to see Lex & Terry. The line was horribly long a few years back when they were at Playmakers. I'm not really into getting autographs or handshakes or anything. I'm pretty popular myself...kind of gets old...you know...everybody asking for autographs and such. Really embarrasing when Tatanka is around...he gets so star-struck. Sad, really. :D

Taint was wasted. Pretty cool. Bunny is always fun, but I think she still has it for Taint.
