WDAY just said there are numerous teams interested in Drago, but didn't specify.

Also, they didn't have any information about Walker.

I would think a TV station would verify information before spilling it out to the viewers! At least call Drago and ask him. Think of how many people saw that on TV and have now told other people.

It's like that episode of South Park where the Internet went down...Without Web access, the news stations didn't have anything to report. In this case, they used it as a source, which was wrong...I wrote my thesis on this subject...Very, very unprofessional.

Seriously, if they did some real reporting, they wouldn't have had the problem...What a third-rate news station.

Fox News = Bad journalism

With that, I think Drago will be fine.

I find this to be very funny. I am not a fan of the fox news team. I have personal experience with them reporting items that are wrong before they even dug into the accident report or contacted the gentleman writing the report. It is easy to have a story when you only get half the story. This happened to a relative. I find it interesting that they ran another story with out all the facts. :smh: :smh: :smh: What a large goof considering the day and the item that it was concerning.

Yeah, I'm excited to see Drago signed, but I don't know how to feel about this for a couple reasons:

1) I hate the Patriots
2) Their punters get the least amount of work (i.e. exposure) in the entire NFL pretty regularly

Using a source from a blog is like getting medical advice from someone on the cast of ER or Grey's Anatomy.

Blogs are good places to get opinions, but trying to find facts is something that shouldn't be taken with a grain of salt.

I agree with you on the 2 points but I"m happy for Drago. He's going to have a pretty damn good shot of winning a Super Bowl.

The New England rumors are interesting. What makes it a bit odd is that New England had two punters on their roster right now - including one they just signed last Wednesday (23rd).

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teams/roster?team=nwe

Most NFL teams don't carry two punters, let alone three, particularly because of the restrictions on the number of guys you can bring to camp. The Pats starting punter is Chris Hanson, a 7th year veteran out of Marshall who averaged 41.4 yards per punt last season. Last week they signed Scott Player, a 10th year guy out of Florida State. Player averaged over 45 yards per punt last year in limited action (only 13 punts in 3 games with Cleveland). Player spent his first 9 years in Arizona.

Maybe they want to open it up for a competition, however, because NFL teams are limited in the number of guys they can bring into camp, coupled with the recent signing of Player, it is tough to see New England bringing in a third punter.

Drago will undoubtedly catch on with a team, but it is tough to see that team being the Pats. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but the indicators point in the opposite direction.

Another day or two and this mystery might take on a "Where's Hoffa" personality. Maybe he did sign and they're sitting on the announcement until after space is made for him (other punters leave)? Even that makes little sense. This is really strange. How can the rumor have so much credibility when there is no credible source?

Which is it???

Form the Bison Media Blog:

Former NDSU punter Mike Dragosavich will have a tryout this weekend in the New England Patriots' rookie mini camp. He has not signed a contract, according to the NDSU sports information office.

Dragosavich, who is scheduled to leave Thursday night, will not be available for comment until possibly Tuesday, the SID office said.

The list of undrafted free agent signings includes 6 punters that have signed contracts. Now we find out Drago does not have a contract as of yet. Not sure how to read into all of this, I hope he hasn't lost opportunities by not signing with a team.

your 2nd reason reminds me of a punter playing for the bison, usually seeing a deep drive.

This is what I am concerned about. While everyone else is signing free agent contracts Drago gets a workout? Something doesn't sound right here.
