I'm gonna guess exactly 2,577. NDSU always produces a specific exact number.

I have no idea how many will attend as I have never been to one, so I won't take a guess. But, I am driving up for it his year.

What type of things are sold at the locker room sale? And do you need to be there at 10:00 to be able to get anything?

Just so you know, here's the attendances for the past few years:

2006 - 1,776
2007 - 2,142

When the Colts used to have available season tickets, they would have a ticket day where they would mark all the available season tickets on a seat in the dome. You could go to that seat, check out the view, and go to the ticket office to buy that seat. I almost did it and now wish I had. They sold out the entire season last year with season tickets and now have a wait list for the new Lucas Oil Stadium (http://www.stadiumsofnfl.com/future/LucasOilStadium.htm) opening this fall. It will be awesome!!

From the Home Office of the President at teh university up nort:

UND Spring Game Top Ten Attendance Explanations (in no particular order)

If they said it was 600 then it had to be 600. They're really good at teh counting up there.
They were piloting their new "virtual fan (http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showpost.php?p=183112&postcount=1)" program--that had to account for at least half of the attendance.
Game was advertised as a playoff game, otherwise they would have probably cracked 1000.
Way too windy for new Athletic Director to wear his new Merkin (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=merkin) in public.
All guests (and housekeeping staff) at the attached hotel (the 'Nad) were technically in attendance since the buildings are connected.
Too many other things to do in el Forko Grande...
Fans took their cue from teh president and were out of town and unavailable for comment.
Apparently nobody wanted to see UND play yet another sucky team at home.
And there you have it, the top ten explanations. Of course, I only counted eight, but then I re-read the first one, and it all made sense.

The weather will undoubtedly affect spring game attendance, but it will still be interesting to learn the #'s at NDSUs spring game.

When you hear 70-80k at places like AL, NE, Penn St, USC, etc, the number of fans that showed up at the Goopher spring game pales in comparison and NDSU could challenge them.

Jeff Kolpack said in his blog they announced 2,500 or something like that. I thought it might have been a little more than that (I was in the top row 50 yard line, and I could scan below me), not exactly 3,000 but pretty close to it.

No way to get a hard number as they didn't use tickets. But it looked to me like more than 2500. Just sayin'.

They had to remove the police tape that they had closing off the sections outside of the 30's because the ones between the 30s were pretty full.

2,500 was a pretty accurate, maybe a little low-accurate estimate. I personally thought there may have been 2,700-2,900 or so, but that's just me. I was very pleased with the turnout.

Way more than 2500... There was obviously no official count. They were going in thinking 2500, stated that before, after and always and it wasn't even close to that. This should be apparent after having to remove the taped off sections by 2 sections on each side. Realistically it appeared to be 4-5 k IMHO.

Actually, the middle 5 sections seat about 550 and the two to either side seat 650 or so. The entire east grandstand seats approximately 6,200. Considering the middle 5 were at least 2/3 full and scattereds beside that, I'd say close to 3,000.

My guess would be between 3000 and 3500. I think NDSU needs to do something to grow Spring game attendance (i.e. additional print / radio / TV advertising). The luncheon, silent auction and locker room sale are great, but more needs to be done to get the word out. Was great to see Cold Stone Creamery and Famous Dave's have concession stands in the dome. Looked like all the concessions sales were good. Also, more rosters need to be available at the door. They run out every year! Can't some print shop donate them and make sure plenty are made?

I thought the attendance was about 4000. The roads weren't the greatest coming in from Barnesville. I sat next to some parents who were saying that a lot of parents didn't make it from Minnesota because of the weather. My brother in law from Whap didn't come either. I think it would have been bigger if the weather would have been good. They should advertise that it is free and they would be more people.

I was listening to Prime Time Sports tonight and Scott and Steve said they thought it was more around 4,000 people there for the spring game. Thats what I was thinking when I was there. Steve said there was two sections that were full from top to bottom and had almost everyone in a seat. Awesome turn out, considering the blizzard. 2500 way to low in my opinion, they had to open up extra sections.
