USD's women's team will play Northern Kentucky for the National Title on Saturday. USD defeated previously undefeated Delta State, a multi-national title program, by 10 last night. Northern Kentucky beat the Bison in 2000 for the National title.

That would be one hell of a way out of Division II!

I believe Jaime Berry is one of the assistant coaches.

Also at one point the Bison looked into recruiting the Hoffman twins from Mitchell, but decided they were too small. Hmm. Lets see who leads usd in scoring tonight - which would be their 30th something win in a row

Looks like the Yotes are going down. Just happened to catch comments earlier by the announcers about the attendance 3750. She said back in the days of the home site Championship sites, that North Dakota State did very well, and they have not had that attendance since.

We would have 7,000+ for those games. Doing away with home sites was a bad idea, IMO.

Jaimie came off the bench to lead NDSU with 16 points (and 10 rebounds) in the 2000 championship game...Northern Kentucky came from behind and tied the game, sent it to overtime and won. Jaimie is a grad assistant coach for USD.

After the 2000 title, Northern Kentucky next played in the championship game in 2003 against the SDSU Jackrabbits. Jackrabbits won.
