hmmmmm.......maybe it is like a national holiday for one hundredth of one percent of all Americans? Even though I love football, watching the NFL draft is like watching golf or watching the grass grow. Yuk!
Actually, I am really glad to hear this news. I will get back from my week long Lake Erie fishing trip on April 25 and can get up early Saturday morning and drive to Fargo for the Spring game. Will be a great 10 days off from work......awesome!
THANK YOU CRAIG BOHL AND GENE TAYLOR!

OK, I forgot, the NFL Draft is boring other than finding out where Drago is selected............of course 100% of Bisonville is interested in that!

I'm doubting that Drago will go in Round 1 or 2 so no worries about missing hime being drafted while your at the Spring Game. Watch it on Sunday.

Go to the spring game, you can find out who was drafted later but you can't relive the true football experience!

Does anyone know if the game will be LIVE on All-Access??? Pretty please! I think the draft starts at 2 or 3:30 this year so maybe you could catch the first half and go home.

Let's see...get off work at 7am, drive home, sleep for 2 hours, and then get up to check out the sale and the scrimmage. It's gonna be a LONG day.

Now the bitching can start that it is the same day as the NFL draft.

My thoughts exactly. Besides, several of us who live out of town but work in Fargo had planned to use this as an opportunity to see what we normally miss. But, as has been said, you can't fight city hall or the weather.

There have been quite a few years when the spring game is the same day as the draft. The draft in the past has been put on the screens until about 1/2 hour or so before kickoff. A few years ago I wanted to see the beginning of the draft so I showed up at the dome at 11ish and got to watch the whole draft until the game started.

April 26th, spring game, draft day, my birthday. Definitely happy birthday to me:)

Usually what happened with the games on Draft Day is that they would have it on some of the video screens until kickoff. Usually they will have picked the top 10 by the time the game started. I think it would be a good idea to keep the Draft on one of the screens during the game, at least for the fans who want to see who the Vikings picked.

That's what Tivo is for. You can go home and watch the first day of draft coverage in about ten minutes.

Or don't skip through the lulls if you enjoy watching paint dry.

From GoBison.com:

Several other events associated with the spring game have also be moved. The silent auction and locker room sale is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and the Outback Steakhouse pre-game scholarship luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26. More information regarding on those events will be forthcoming.

I have never gone to the spring game. Is the Outback luncheon and the aution worth showing up early for? What is locker room sales?

roadwarrior
04-02-2008, 01:46 PM
There is a cost $20 for the luncheon.

Bids are taken on the silent auction items until the end of halftime.

The locker room sale is a rummage sale of used Bison gear.

Glad to hear you can defend yourself Slick! Like I just mentioned in another thread, lets play some hoops after the spring game. We might just develop some mutual respect and have a good time. See if B1SON and others want to play 2 on 2, 3 on 3 half court or if we get enough can play full court.

actually, they sell old warm up jackets and pants, shorts, shirts, hoodies, game jerseys, etc. for all the mens and womens sports. Also some new stuff like odd sizes of basketball or running shoes. In the past they also had a bunch of the thundar bobbleheads and various other trinkets.

What time does the game itself start? The draft is later this year.

NFL Draft starts at 3pm this year, with just rounds 1&2 on Saturday. Also the times between picks are reduced to 10minutes for 1st round, and 7 for 2nd round.

FYI I guess to go along with the other draft discussion.
