I just got a note from Shawn Dobberstein from Hector International. He said Frontier has a 239.00 roundtrip fare Fargo-Denver if you depart Friday September 12th qnd return to Fargo Sunday September 14th. Laramie is approximately 140 miles north of Denver-one hotel night in Laramie on Friday night-one hotel room in Denver on saturday night. United fare is 279.00 round trip. It is possible to fly from Fargo to Laramie with both United and Frontier (Great Lakes Aviation is the carrier) Their sunday return times are limited. Both United and Frontier have group discounts for 10 or more people that book. He said seats are going fast. He knew of a group of fans from south Fargo that booked last week already. He suggests that check United and Frontier fares if they are interested in the Wyoming game- driving from Denver. Shawn is a former Bison track athlete. And was our TEAMMAKER President two years ago. FLY FAR FLY FARGO.

They are only little B170s so they don't have a lot of seats. Our group booked four yesterday.

At 239.00 x 4 +car rental + hotel for 2 nights = too expensive vs driving.

If the trip was farther then flying would be the only option but this one is drivable.

It's only cheaper if your time is worth nothing and an extra 2000 miles of depreciation on your vehicle is also worthless.

Let's face it....driving is only fun on the way there. The ride home is always brutal. Every single trip is the same. Gas is expensive. I will be flying. Better get my flight though....

Perhaps the neatest thing about this thread is the fact that many of us are either flying or driving to the game. We might disagree with what is the best way to go, but we are at least talking about going. I wonder if there is any possibility we could get a 1000 fans there? Any guesstimates?

2500-3000 NDSU fans.

that's what Im thinking based on the popularity of this subject on here and at the neighborhood bars..

That would be great, I hope you are right. My guess is we could make some noise with that many fans, assuming the lack of O2 doesn't get to us :)

Hotel booked.

el cheapo EconoLodge, but it has a room with three queen beds for $99. Not a bad deal. And I don't plan on spending a heck of a lot of time there anyway.

I am positive that the NDSU Alumni Association will announce pre-game activities for this one.

That could be misconstrued as disappointing news.

First of all, many have already booked tickets. What took our road icon so long ;)

Second, I know friends who booked Frontier tickets the week after the WY game was announced. Considering that the plane only holds about 50 people, I am surprised there are seats left, and quite frankly, a bit disappointed

Frontier will be using 76 passenger planes. Two flights per day to Denver.

Flying United from MSP with a buddy. Holiday Inn and rental car secured. Should be a great trip.

We're flying United from Fargo to Denver. The flight times offered worked better than the Frontier options and it was only $12 more per ticket.

Flying Northwest from MSP and meeting up with some friends at Denver Internation flying out of Fargo and then road tripping to Laramie, can't wait. Found some good rates on Travelosity for hotel rooms, so we are pretty much set. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I wish it was Sept. already, who needs summer.

I hope Frontier is still flying in September! They filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy today. Maybe with the price of jet fuel what it is, they should charge enough to pay the bills?

They're claiming that they will be able to honor all bookings and will make payroll during the reorganization so we'll see.

Good question... perhaps City Airlines?
