I think Western Illinois is the host school but the meet is at Sterling, IL. Sterling is about 60 minutes west and a little south of Dekalb.

I was surprised when I read the article in the Friday FF that, currently, NDSU is the only school that has indoor track facilities. I think IUPIU ( & e,i,o,u and sometimes y ) has a facility that will be completed by 2010. I am not that much of a track fan but I found this to be.....well, hard to believe. Is it because the other schools are in better climates that most of the year they can work outside?

Wow, just saw that ORU made league history last year by sweeping the men's and women's indoor championship two years in a row.

Good goal for the Bison to best.

Pretty incredible since the other Summit teams (bunnies excluded) have the advantage of being able to practice outside a heckuva a lot more. Not to mention that the Summit has some pretty darn good track teams.

Congrats Bison - About time you came in first in something! LOL

Good to see the Jacks pull the second on the women's side. So, the xDSU's continue to dominate in the women's sports.

Softball should be your next big chance.

Admittedly, I don't follow T&F much. Does the Summit have decent teams and athletes? I'm surprised at how much NDSU dominated. Men's wasn't close either day and, after the 2nd day, it wasn't a close race for the women either.

None the less, congratulations to both teams! Should make the bus ride home much more tolerable.

Ryan was at Teammakers yesterday. He said that it was a total team effort and they won it with their depth. You are limited to 21 or 22 athletes to run all of the events, so some were pretty busy with races and time trials. The first relay, his second runner had slowed up coming in. Guess she had broken her big toe with about 180 meters left but still finished the race. Track has always done well and looks strong in the future.
