Brett was named to the first team ESPN academic all american team!

They are scrolling his name (first team) all across the bottom line on ESPN tonight. Pretty fresh right next to DJ from Texas. NICE.

OH YEAH!!..


more NDSU pub on ESPN. remember durin the oral roberts/crieghton game they showed the summit standings with North Dakota State in 5th place.

2 times in 3 days.. is pretty sweet pub!

That is a great accomplishment. Press, Press, Press and more Press. Congrats to Winkelman, the rest of the team and the Prof's at everyone else at NDSU you don't get on that list on your own!!!!!!

Says alot about the athletes that ND State brings in...it always seems like there are players on the regional teams and this is the first team all american I have seen since we started the transition. But I think this should bring a lot of credit to the coaching staff and recruiting coaches to bring in the quality student athletes that they do.

i guess what i am getting at is that winks being named to all academic team is great pub........ is being shown in 5th place good pub even if they do it 100 times.....

I dont know if anyone saw or not....but his picture was on TV during the texas game for being an academic all american....there were 4 others listed to, DJ Augustin was one too

Yes, that was awesome!! Great to see Winks & NDSU as part of March Madness on TV.

yeah i was watchin the game laying on the couch and kinda outta it, and then all of a sudden i see winkleman....it was quite exciting
