Just got back from The Hub watching the webcast. It was weird, because I walked in at around 6:30 and no one stopped me to pay a cover. Only the front desk guy asked for my ID and that was it. There were some issues with the webcast at The Hub, apparently due to the video adapter. It would sometimes freeze, and it froze at the most inopportune time with about 1 minute left with SDSU coming back. BTW, I really like all the renovations they did with the place. I took a look inside the new Venue, and it was SCHWEEEEET. It's also cool that they opened F-M's first hip-hop club, The Vibe. I drank one Mike's Hard Lemonade and like 5 Diet Cokes, so I ended up having to go REAL BAD a few minutes ago.:D

Here's a few things I got from the game:

1) We REALLY need a big energetic guy in the middle. We REALLY miss Dre. I think if Dre was still here, we'd already be at the 20 win mark. I really hope we find a JUCO this summer. We struggled inside again...

2) But not as bad as the Jacks. I didn't think I would ever see a team that has less luck inside than we do. They have absolutely NO dominant inside presence. This would make a team have to rely on the perimiter, but...

3) The Jacks shot TERRIBLE tonight. If they would've shot better, I think we would've lost. SDSU is NOT a good basketball team whatsoever. They were missing almost everything even with an offensive rebounding advantage.

Now I'm a big guy myself, I'm close to about 265, but every time the video zoomed into an SDSU fan in the stands, it was usually a man or woman fatter than me. Now whenever I'm in the student section at the games at NDSU, I usually (regretfully) find that I'm probably one of the five fattest people in that section. But when they panned to the SDSU student section, it looked like the averaged sized male was more or less my size. I saw guys in their student section that I have never seen that big at Bison games. again, this is an observation. Go ahead and bash the fat guy making fun of his own kind, I don't care.

It was a close game, but it was a win, and we needed it.

I replied, well...neither team played very well, the statistics will show that. (I was sick as a dog, and could barely talk). He says, you will be lucky to ever win a game again in Brookings.

Dude was like 65+ years old and had some serious passion. That game was painful to watch, both teams shot poorly...but to say we were lucky is bizarre. We realistically had the lead the entire game. Oh well. I just walked away. I forgot about that guy until just now.

As Burgundy has been known to say from the set of Anchorman...."Stay Classy Brookings." Obviously one fan isn't the difference maker, we had a good time.
