For UND's sake --> Kelley better accept, otherwise they will be standing around with egg on their face (again). Especially since they declined to interview the 2 other semi-finalists that received majority votes.

Good post. I have competed for and accepted positions on the spot and have also competed for and been offered good positions and asked for time. When I want a position, I insure that the decision maker knows this. When the final decision has a family impact, I ask for the time. I do this to insure that my family / spouse becomes a part of the commitment. This certainly makes the adjustment cycle more effective.

No. I was mesmerized by Chapman's ears, so I didn't really notice.

Oh yay. So... where is that showdown with the Harmeson feller? http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/Slapfightsmiley.gif I'm personally feeling a little cheated.

Thursday at 10:00, WDAZ reported that they had talked to the new President. They quoted him as saying that he will require the AD to report directly to him.

Then they actually had Harmeson on video answering the question of how he felt about it. He explained how the change was made by Kupchella to have him inserted as a middle man to take some of the pressure off the President to free his time up for more important jobs. Blah, blah, blah.

Tha whole segment came across like Harmeson bragging about how important he is. He said that he will happily apply his efforts however the new President wants for the benefit of the University because UND is much more important than one individual. He ended by saying that he has many things to do and he expects that, with the new President coming in, he will end up with MUCH more on his plate. If you dislike Harmeson, the segment on WDAZ might have made you feel a little bit ill.

And now its down to the AD. I heard Rich Glas has applied?

That was quite a shock to read in the GF Herald. I'll be surprised if he makes it past the first cut. Apparently he has some past experience as an AD. On the other hand, he has both supporters and enemies in GF. That, alone should make him a liability for the job. I can't imagine Jones being happy if the former BB coach was to suddenly become his boss. I'd put Rich's chances at 1 in 1,000,000,000,000.

I seem to recall ol' Richie was one of the biggest asshats on the planet during NDSU's transition. And that's quite an accomplishment given the competition...

Did his chances just go up or down?:hide:

On the other hand, I'm going to give TMWTFN2 the benefit of the doubt until he proves himself one way or the other. How he handles the AD search and that butt farmer Harmeson will say a lot about whether or not he's just the latest in a distinguished line of toolbags to serve in his position.

The Associate AD from U of Wyoming is in the mix.

The preceding message has been brought to you by the firm of Douchenozzle Asshat Buttfarmer & Jackbag. :D Reading Tatanka is better than the Reader's Digest word quiz. I expand by vocabulary daily. :D

So is the AD from UNC. He's about 10 steps below Buning. I think he's been told by UNC to find another school to screw up.

But look at the "timeline of success"!

I remember Colin Powell mentioning some certain asshats in Afghanistan back when he was Secretary of State (using that very same technical term). I pretty much stood up and cheered when I heard that word come out of the TV.http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff311/indio_rojas/Smilies/19.gif
