This is another game that I'm feeling we won't be able to pull out. I hope I'm wrong. Let's hope the guys make a huge run to open the 2nd half and get some breathing room.

The good news is that the scoring looks REAL balanced. How was our turnover situation??

everybody acted all surprised when SUU pushed ORU to the limit and when IPFW hung around most of the game.....

I am telling you and have been saying all season, that the road in the summit is treacherous. Long trips, 3 different time zones spanning 9 states and differing elevations, from the warm breeze in south Louisiana to the shivering cold of North Dakota....

Thats why going undefeated (or darn close) at home is essential to taking the crown.

I have noticed the past few weeks that a vast majority of Summit conference games are being won by the home team...

I believe you its been hard on the road.

Judging by the stories told by Amy and Saul at TeamMakers about the road trip conditions I can imagine why. ;)

Stop the excuses! Doesn't seem to be a problem for Oral Roberts! That is why I can not stand to go to teammakers any more. All the cliches and excuse making. Tim Miles never sugar coated things. This years team has no leader stepping up pissed off at the situation. Andre Smith, Coach Miles, who ever. It gets to point where someone needs to just admit it, the Bison are not getting it done!

I have never understood why it is so hard to win on the road for some teams other than mentally
if a team is better than the other they should win if played on the driveway

I don't remember Saul making excuses at TeamMakers luncheons? The stories he tells are true and funny but by no means is he telling them to excuse the team for losing on the road. Is there room for concern? Sure, but the way in which you phrase your comments seems to lead me to believe you have all the answers. Tim Miles was great, but he's gone now. Move on! In my opinion (and it's just an opinion) Saul has handled himself very well for #1 stepping into the shoes of a guy like Tim Miles and #2 being a 1st year head coach. Obviously there is no post season play opportunity this year, nor was there all season. So, I think this year was a good opportunity for the team and coaches to get used to the new league and the travel schedule, figure things out, and make the all important league run through Sioux Falls next year. The bench is contributing a lot more now then at the beginning of the season. Don't worry about your empty seat Swat, I'll buy an extra plate on Thursday to listen to Saul. He's alright with me. ;)

Great post.

It's taken a while for Saul to grow on me, but even with the road bumps I like how far the team has come.

Is this the first season where we don't have the luxury some lower D2 teams sprinkled at home around this time of year?
