The University of North Dakota is reporting a boost in its spring enrollment count, with a third-week total of 11,831 students.

The figure is 127 more than North Dakota State's 11,714 student count. UND trailed NDSU on the first day of classes, 11,141 to 11,275

Not that it is a huge deal but how do they always come up with enough students to pull ahead after the initial count?

Where is the pic of the coupon I have saw floating around here!!

So just a question on the "scholarship" is it good marketing or are they just overcharging everyone else that is paying full tuition.

Can anyone enlighten me on what the scholarship is for and how much?

wow, they just can't stand to be smaller than us. It seems like they'd do anything to keep their "larger" status. sad.

They just wait for NDSU to announce their enrollment & then create a few more part time online students. The real enrollment isn't even close. NDSU has a wide lead in full time students.

We have to remember that we are dealing with an institution that bragged about being " one of the largest most prestegious engineering schools in the western US."

Again, UND is aspiring to be the Phoenix University of the Plains.

I am excited for the day down the road when und has 10 people walking around campus and their enrollement numbers are sitting at 20000 because they have been inflating it just to keep ahead of NDSU.

Eventually someone is going to realize that they have been losing students at a rapid pace and we have been gaining students at a rapid pace and those numbers that they are spitting out don't add up.

Last year in my hometown, not a single graduate chose UND. I can't remember that ever happening as it usually is fairly equal with NDSU. I think the momentum has really changed the last couple years.

They must count everyone at the Red Pepper after bar rush for a few weeks.

I too had to laugh when I saw that. I figured that they went through the phone book and started adding names to their enrollment. Something about that school makes me want to.....I don't know. OH! I know....PUKE!

Impossible. The numbers would have been much higher had they done that... :)

When are they going to realize that "size doesn't matter";) (Sorry it was just too easy) I think they actually hired a Chicago based firm to count the "actual" students enrolled, 'course some of those enrolled students no longer have a pulse, but that's a secondary issue.;)
