I know Amy has been taking some heat and I didn't want to chime in, becasue I don't pretend to know anything about coaching. But everyone I talk to say Amy is a good person. Here is proof I guess

My mom died of breast cancer. It is good to see Amy support a worthly cause. Thanks Amy! $100 for every three pointer! I wonder how many the ladies will make that night? Heck, maybe this will get Amy some national attention like the coach who didn't wear shoes on the sideline.

This is a great cause! Despite my thoughts on the whole situation I applaud her donation. They are averaging five 3s a game so that gives an idea of around how much of a donation will be made. Hopefully several business will step up and match her donation.

As far as national attention as stated above like the IUPUI coach, not going to happen. This is a national WBCA (Womens Basketball Coaches Association) initiative that has over 800 colleges participating. Every school that is participating is doing something similar when it comes to donations, t-shirts, etc. For example Marquette is also doing a 3-point challenge, Purdue is doing a free throw challenge, and the head coach at Northwestern is donating $1 for every ticket sold. They average 1,000 fans and are hosting Wisconsin. The IUPUI coach's shoes for kids program was his own project and he was spending his own money to personally fly the shoes to where they were going in Africa. That is a little more individually note worthy. Now if we go into a 4 out and 1 in set and chuck up 50 three pointers and make 25.... THAT would be noteworthy. :D
