Needed to start a thread about the wrestling match tonight. It is truly rivalry week with wrestling and both basketballs at home. matches start at 7:30. Hopefully the matmen start the tone tonight.

Patselov took it to his shoulder that was all braced up twice, and it looked like he was nearly in tears. Sitting right off the mat you notice these things. :nod:

patselov is from fargo north and wrestling way better than I thought he woulkd in college so far

As a former 'sler, there is no good time to get a bloody nose during a match. You can't breathe right, major cotton mouth, they stop the match all the time, etc..... Mine used to be bad enough that as soon as we shook hands I would get a nose bleed. Could have also had something to do with an insufficient diet, but who's to know.:(

Don't remember ever getting one myself. I have no idea why, but that's the way things went for me. On the other hand, I knew a kid who could do it on purpose any time he wanted. He'd give himself a bloody nose pretty much anytime he was getting gassed and needed a break. He was mighty open about doing it, too. I've seen and heard of others doing it as well, but I admit it could just be talk. I agree it wouldn't be comfortable and the cottonmouth can be suffocating, but trying to protect a one point lead, halfway through the third, some people will do almost anything for a rest.
