I believe the Illini have an open date on Sept. 20, but we play YSU that day.

As an Illinois alum who attended from 2002-2005 seasons, it was great to see UI get back to a bowl game. However, you can tell that although they had a great season, the culture of winning is far from established. That fumble by Willis into the endzone absolutely was a killer, and they never recovered. Clearly though, they didn't have a chance at beating USC. I do think that UI was the best choice out of the Big 10 to play in the Rose Bowl though.

ya michigan shoulda beat florida by 3 tds theres no doubt about it...that usc illinois scoreboard was not any kind of reflection n what actually took place that game shoulda been a lot closer going into the 4th with the fighting illini having a chance to win both are shoulda woulda coulda but usc is not that sweet

i whatched the game start to finish...i dont know who "everyody else" is but if your talking about bisonville i doubt more than 15 fools from here were tuned in at all let alone start to finish...illinois put up a good fight a slow start and turnovers killed them not usc

I have to disagree with you...USC is playing the best football in the country and I think would win tonight's game if given the opportunity...I hope they are voted number one in the AP poll...Would once again put shame to the BCS system.

I see what you are saying...but I think the Rose Bowl was a bit sick of USC vs Michigan. Probably a business decision.
