Cal Golden Bear Classic

Anyone have any thoughts on this tournament? We play Bucknell (I bet the Bison will win :D ) on Friday at 4:30 (2:30 local time in Cali) and on Saturday we play either Long Beach State or Cal at either 3 or 5:30 CST. Does anyone know about the strength of Bucknell or the other teams.

They did get one vote in one of the nation polls. They are 7-2 and lot to Utah by 2 on the 22nd.

Bucknell isn't as good this year as they've been the past few years. They're 4-6 and have bad losses to Wagner, Marist, and St. Francis. But they did hang tough with Villanova (L 70-64) and lost to Wake Forest 72-56. I think we are very capable of beating them.

Ming, The gobison web release states that Bucknell returns ten letterman from a squad that won 22 games! And tied for first place in the Patriot league!
I would not look pass that team...it is on a neutral floor which helps both teams I guess. I expect it to be a brawl like last year when the Herd played Princeton at the Marquette tourney. Down to the wire...Plus this years NDSU team has little margin for error, that we have all seen. They cant lookpast anybody!

I didn't say we should look past Bucknell, they are still a good team and past years have shown that, but I have the confidence we will beat them, especially on a neutral floor.

I also saw a note on the "unnamed" website, that says that 100% of the betting on that game was on Bucknell to win straight up....No love for the Bison. I changed that. It isn't 100% anymore.

dont worry about it....im not w bet us anymore thats a shady operation they completely flooded my moms mail box when i didnt show action for a few weeks...probably sent 3 hats a few shirts playing cards calenders all sorts of magazines ect ect i was pretty pissed called them up and changed my address and told them i never want to get a piece of mail from them again...i didnt realize that i had a check on the way from that floyd fight and when i didnt recieve it a few weeks ago they were tryin to tell me it was sent to an unconfirmed address and my account was under suspicion for fraud...im pretty much at bet us mercy may nevever see that 25 hundo which is pretty lame but theres absolutley nothing i can do about it

Nice win boys! Burgundy now has some chip money for his big Lennon party. Of course he doesn't need beer money, Sambini "dropped" a couple cases in the warehouse this week and they need to go somewhere! ;)

It was a great night at Haas Pavillion last night! My seat in section 1 row 1 seat 1 was pretty sweet too! Hopefully the Bison will come through with a great effort tonight against Cal. This will not be nearly as easy as last night's victory was! After watching Cal demolish Long Beach State in the first half, I had seen enough.

I ran into some NDSU students that drove out for the games!! Talk about hard core!

Also, there were several Bison softball players in the crowd. I was surprised at that at first until I remembered there are quite a few from California.

Austin Pennick played a few minutes against Cal. He had missed 2 games with his ankle injury. It will be nice to have him back at full speed for the conference games.
