The Golden Eagles limited the Longhorns to a season-worst 38 percent field goal percentage, but couldn’t overcome 37 percent shooting of their own in a 66-56 loss at Texas Tuesday. Adam Liberty led ORU with 12 points and a career-high eight rebounds. Marchello Vealy added 11 points and eight rebounds, while Robert Jarvis chipped in with 10 points
The Longhorns shot 16-of-21 from the free throw line, compared to just 6-of-12 for ORU. Texas out-rebounded ORU, 40-37. ORU committed a season-low nine turnovers. The 10-point margin was the lowest for Texas in seven home games.
