Roehl is suppose to be able to run the 40 in 4.4-4.5 seconds. Yet after that game, Gopher fans in particular, thought it was that the Gopher backs were too slow to not being able to run him down. The truth is that Gopher fans did not recognize that Roehl could that big and that fast. The other story was that the Gophers were bad tacklers cuz one man couldn't bring him down. The truth again is Minnesota wasn't the only team that had a hard time bringing him down. It was rare all year that a single player from any team could pull him down.
