If we win tomorrow and finish undefeated, it could mark the 1st time in NCAA history that a team finishes #1 without making the playoffs. We will own the longest winning streak in college football and we haven't lost a game against a D1AA team since 2005. No playoffs? Then I find out Portland State only had a 2 year reclassification period. Let ESPN know and maybe we can get some love! Of course don't email them until after the game but you catch my drift!

This was my argument a year ago. I'm with you.

I'll definitely email espn when we win.

This whole playoff situation is some kind of sick joke. Look at Southern Florida this year. They were in the running for a BCS bowl until they imploded. It's an eleven year old program for God's sake. I think it was Florida International that was in the DI-AA playoffs in their 2nd or 3rd year of having a football team...sometime in the 90s. Not sure of the year.

I wrote a thread on AGI last year to ask people how long their teams had to live in purgatory. Most that replied said that they had 'none' or maybe a year or two.

Like you said, with a win tomorrow, this would be a big story of stupidity. Even if we lost...it would be nearly as stupid.
