According to ESPN.com... it appears Massachusetts lost to Rhode Island OT 12-6. The scoring line shows that Massachusetts scored 2 pts in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters. Three safeties? Is this some kind of record? Probably not, but it's highly unusual. Northeastern also beat New Hampshire 31-13. Nice win for Rocky.

"The University of Rhode Island football team looks to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season when it welcomes No. 3 Massachusetts to Meade Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 3 at noon. The Rams (1-7, 0-5 CAA) are looking for their first-ever CAA Football win while the Minutemen bring a perfect 5-0 conference record (7-1 overall) to Kingston."

And they did it! 12-6

3 safeties is highly unusual, isn't it?

That was only Northeastern's second win this season, too.

Should make for an interesting matchup when Northeastern faces Rhode Island in the last game of the season in a couple of weeks. Rhode Island will be at home.
