This was in McFeely's column today:

In 50 games under Bohl, NDSU has lost by a double-digit margin once.

That's just ridiculous.

I'll be a fan of whichever program Bohl goes to next.

I hope it's in the Big10 so UofM understands what exactly they missed out on.

Considering NDSU just came off a 2-8 season and they were starting a transition into a new division I think it is very impressive myself.

Is it too early for fundraising to begin for a 50 ft. bronze statue of Bohl atop the Fargodome???

Just one of the many reasons to admire our coach.

Bohls record is 39-11. 11 losses and only one of those as mentioned at the start of this thread was by more than single digits. All the 10 other losses were by less than 10 points. Now that is impressive! I believe the only double digit loss was the 2005 game out at Cal Poly.
In summary, Bohl prepares the Bison so well that they are always very competitive.

We could give him a bronze statue if he promises to stay another 20 years.
Otherwise, I think we should save the bucks for a raise to keep him around for maybe anonther 2.

I don't. I don't want to be a minor league system for the Gophers.

Kind of suspected that, but had never looked back at some of the old records to check. One thing about Bohl and his staff, they don't seem to have the choke factor. You just know from the way they coach the game that it is never going to get out of hand. Steve Hallstrom on the Bison Media Blog said when he talked to a couple of the players on Tuesday, they were very serious and had a very workmanlike attitude. I think Bohl and the players treat much of what they do every week very much like a job. They have their routines and they do the same exact thing every week, which probably keeps the players from going on so much of an emotional rollercoaster. Stats like that need to be hidden away somewhere though!! Don't need to sell coach Bohl down the road any sooner than neccessary!!:smh:

In a word: no.

You would have to try pretty hard to find unimpressive ways to view what coach Bohl has done with this program. He is a heck of a coach and numbers like this one relfect that.
