We need it to be GREEN...gold is what the gophers are going to be wearing (especially the student section).

Buy those GREEN towels at Scheel's.

It will be GREEN for Bison fans.

Speaking for myself but for many others we will probably be wearing our Tubby Time shirts in the student section, I'm doubting that I'm busting out the Gopher Nation shirt.

Maybe we can congregate in the Minnesota student section, I heard its gonna be a GHOST TOWN!

Probably, no one really cares about NDSU here.

We prefer big games like Ohio State and Purdue, this is like a preseason game if you ask the students, it's your superbowl, enjoy it.

Students will be there for the first half, if we are getting beat badly, NDSU fans will have free reign over our student section. They are notoriously bad about leaving early.

Not me!! I'll be there until the end!!

Unless we are up by 20 or 30 then I might head out.

50,000? Yeah, not too bad considering the current record.

Good thing the attendance at the game Saturday will be 3x what the Fargodome can hold. That = Your superbowl.

You are right, 50K is impressive...63K will be awesome. ;)

And I would take the Fargodome over the Metrodome any day of the year.

And I'd take TCF over almost every stadium.

Box...How can you comment on a stadium that hasn't been built yet?

I've been to NDSU twice, but never been to the dome. No joke there were blizzards and ridiculous winds both times I was there so I didn't see much of campus. You can bet I would be there in a second though if the gophs travelled there. We are in desperate need of our new stadium, ground breaking is today!

gopherz
10-17-2007, 08:14 PM
Hasn't been built, sure. There is a thing called plans, as in we've all seen the plans for the new stadium.

Haha...Yeah, Fargo is famous for its blizzards and wind...I remember everytime I went there as a kid, some kind of crappy weather was present.

I wish we had an outdoor stadium too.

That's alright Fargo's crazy weather contributed to many days off of school, especially in elementary school.

Days off at Fargo Public Schools?

Cripes, I only had two days off due to weather in 12 years, and that was when the Governor declared a weather state of emergency in 90 or 91.

I remember that. It was due to ridiculously cold weather too. No snow, too damn cold for it to snow.

I remember it snowing sideways the wind was so strong. Another time it was so cold that the snow squeaked when you walked on it and you hardly left a foot print.
But you sure could chill a six pack pretty darn quick by putting it out on the window sill of the dorm room window.:D PL

If I am not mistaking we wear yellow and green, not gold.

Where does this gold keep coming from, I could have sworn our colors were yellow and green.

Yellow = home

Green = away

Down here in Arkansas they cancel school if snow is PREDICTED. Not kidding. PL

In the forum today there is an artical that the frist 1000 fans to attend the pre-game party at The Depot will get GREEN Bison vs Gophers towels. Wave them proud!!!

What time is the Depot party ? Also, I plan on painting my face green and wearing some green and yellow socks, green Bison shirt and hat, yellow wristbands, etc. I'm sporting the green for sure!!!! I haven't painted my face for a long time. I think the last time may have been a trip to memorial, when Babich called for the onside kick to start the second half, good times.

I think you've heard wrong. Even if Gopher fans are streaming for the exits, the student section will be one of the more densely populated parts of the stadium.

May be nice, but why so SMALL (versus other Big 10 stadiums) ?? Not hopeful for a larger fan base in the future?? Seems shortsighted (maybe I'm being optimistic about future Gopher successes)

I think I remember a past thread about gold vs yellow... not sure though.

Yes I know, but it is such a big deal.

Our school song is "The Yellow and the Green"

All of our official school songs say Yellow and Green:

On Bison:

Green and yellow colors bright,
To them we will be true.

We are the Pride:

Sons of the green and yellow prairies
Our colors will ever be

Why are we not being true to our colors, as the songs that we sing say?
