Does it cost anything to go to the pre-game party and if we have our own beer is that fine? Also do you have to be an alumni to go there?

Last year the drinks were $6.00. I don't think they will let you bring your own in since they use a catering service. No, you don't have to be an alum to go to the tent.

If its cold and you have a coat on, who's to know what you carry in.

Just so you know, everybody in my party got patted down last year going into the Metrodome (and we were sober, older family types).

Now, smuggling beer into an event like the pre-game party seems like a waste of effort (hehe, and even for me, it's a little early in the day to bring out a hip flask).
