Of 6 Soo losses in the Alerus, ever, 3 are to UNO.

Wonder why that is? It reminds me of UND in the 90s. Overall they were usually shitty but they always seemed to beat us.

Why is the band playing whenever they want?

Why is the band playing whenever they want?

Cuz it's the SWAC. The band could beat their school's football team on the field.

Because most of the crowd came to hear the band...not watch the game.

Anybody have official stats?

How many carries did Roehl have?

Washington runs the reverse to the NDSU 40.

Phil is saying the Bison are throwing out decoys for the Gophers to waste their time prepping for in the game today.

Is that why they pulled Roehl so early? He was running HARD!!!

SWAC bands are awesome I don't care what anyone says. Anyone ever seen Drumline? It's like that but better.

Everyone has been running pretty hard today. Lots of talk of Paschall and Blincoe carrying defenders with them on runs.

I'm guessing they really want to rest Roehl. I'm talking more about Parsons, some Washington runs, some new formations, etc.

Alright guys, we have been asking for it for weeks upon weeks. Now that Mertens has gotten some time, how does everyone think he looked?

The bands are good. The football teams, not so much.

Washington with the reception to the 3 yard line!

Grambling's usually solid. Southern-Grambling is an awesome game to watch. I think Prarie View A&M football is the worst team ever according to ESPN.

I think most of them have been in since 3rd.

All backups have played. They started flowing in freely in the 2nd quarter.

Bison fumble on the exchange between Mertens and Paschall. MVSU ball on the Bison 10 yard line. Bison defense needs a big stand to keep the shutout.

What happened to Mertens?

just giving everyone a chance.

Mertens 6/8 121yards 1TD

Sounds like he has very good accuracy and can really go downfield with a throw. Mertens was sacked twice. Maybe work on pocket awareness.

My favorite of the day was the PA announcer:

Wait a minute...............there's a maaaaker on the field!

There were more Bison fans at the game than I had expected. I didn't count them, but probably 60-80 or so. A dozen or more from Fargo, some drove in from Atlanta, some drove from Arkansas, and others I talked to came in from Alabama. Coach Garza had a group in the crowd. Belmonts, Buckmans, Septaks and Paschalls were represented in the crowd. Maybe some others I missed. We had the "everyone up for the kickoff" and "thats another Bison... first down" cheers throughout the game. It was dang hot sitting on the north side of the stadium. No beer in sight. The metal detector at the entrance was a first at a football game for me.
