Either nobody knows anything about Tivis or nobody saw my post in the other schools forum so I'll post it here to see if I can get a resonse:

Does anybody have any info on Bowman, ND basketball player Payton Tivis. Apparently he has made his way onto the SDSU roster as a walk on. Was he a standout high school player? Recruited to play elsewhere? etc.

Nagy adds players for practice purposes. Not saying he won't get his shot...but I think he's mostly there for that reason.

A good story about him. Just google his name and you will get a ton of good hits.

This was a very limited response from Dickinson.

Don't know much about him at all, except Tivis was a very good high school player. I don't think he was to big, and probably a guard.

Payton Tivis is a great example of a student athlete. I believe he was an honor student in high school and planned on studying engineering. Not sure why he went to SDSU. I think he wanted to play college bb but didn't really get much for offers. If I remember right he's about 6'2". Good shooter & ball handler. Saw him play his senior year. Real good player for ND high school but not D1 caliber.
