I was at Lambeau field on Sunday for the Packers/Chargers game. I ran into one of the Bison football coaches father. He said next year he believes NDSU will play Wisconsin in football, and in 2010 there is a contract in the works for Ohio State!!! Neither are official yet but both got me excited. I have heard the Wisconsin's rumors before but not Ohio State. I don't like to spread rumors but I thought it was a good source and generate some discussion. Anyone else hearing this?

I have heard the Ohio State rumor, but never with a year attached. I've just heard that there is an offer on the table. Now that is just a rumor! I haven't heard anything about Wisconsin, but a trip to Camp Randell in 2008 and to the Horseshoe in 2010. Sign me up!!

Checked UW's future schedule...Sept 20th is open next year. Gobison.com doesn't have our schedule for next year posted yet, thought the gateway portion would be posted at least.

Gene Taylor said on the radio Saturday that next year he might be reluctant to schedule a BCS team considering we're playoff eligible. Who knows, but it might be worth ~$400,000 to play in Madison.

If these rumors are true, would that mean we are good enough for the elite teams of the B10, but not the Goofs? Say it ain't so Punky!

At half time on Saturday the AD indicated that he'd like to schedule a maximum of 1 I-A opponent annually going forward. I don't think this is really a change. He wasn't too excited about having 2 on the schedule this year either but w/ only 4 conference games their were scheduling holes to fill.

The 2008 and 2009 schedules are in the football programs -- we play Youngstown State on Sept. 20 next year. Open dates next year are Aug. 30, Sept. 6, 13, and Nov. 8.

The problem isnt' that we're "good enough" for the Goofs, but that we are too good.
