I think NDSU is going to put up some points against the Goofs, so if they can figure out how to get some pressure on the QB that could be a very good game for us.

Gophers QB Weber is the real deal. I was able to watch 2 of their games. He has many of the same tools as Bomar. We will need to get some pressure up the middle on him, he can scramble.

Last team with the ball wins??

He did a lot of running at QB for Mounds View in High School.

I'm not sure why but I still don't have a good feeling about this game yet. That could be a good sign though because I didn't have a good feeling for CMU.

I know this, we need to play much less conservative than we did last year, we need to spread them out and take more shots at the end zone.

Its ridiculous to compare Weber to Bomar. The only thing I see that is similar is there ability to run at any time. Bomar is a better passer and makes much better decisions. Weber has the ability to be a good QB in the coming years but he is by no means the real deal yet. He has alot of learning to do.

I'd like the Gophers to be riding a two-game winning streak coming into Bison v Gophers. I'd also like both teams to be healthy. C'mon, Gophers! Win the next two!

Weber has the physical skills to be a good college QB, but he was in a run-heavy scheme in HS and didn't throw it that much, so he is taking his lumps this year learning. While he has good arm strength and is definitely an above average runner/athlete for the QB position, comparing him to Bomar is like comparing a really nice mountain bike to a Ferrari. If we hit Weber a few times early we'll have a good day on defense.

What was the attendance for the Gophers/Buckeyes game? I caught snippets of it on TV and it looked like there were quite a few empty seats.

51,611, with a fairly consistent line at the exits after the opening kickoff.

I doubt it will sell out because they are losing so many games. I would expect at least 20,000 Bison fans based on last year and on the continued winning of the team. There is a chance that there will be more NDSU fans there than Gopher fans.

I would expect more Bison fans than that at the current rate. More NDSU fans than Gopher fans? I'd put a couple of George Washingtons down on that bet. :nod:
