I just heard from a top-secret, behind-the-lines, document-protected source that only 500 GA seats remain for tomorrow's game! Word on the street is that NDSU has already begun to print standing-room-only tickets for the game (100 in each corner of the concourse of the Dome). If you haven't bought your tickets yet, you might not get one by the end of the day!!

I love this! :) :hungry:  :) :hungry: :D

What music to my ears you sing "standing-room-only tickets for the game (100 in each corner of the concourse of the Dome)." I remember the days when the dome police would threaten fans with removal from the facility if they lingered more than 30 sec in the corners. Now, they're selling tickets? A fan friendly dome authority? Can this be true?

Apparently the DA woke up (as evidenced by the football offices) and realized that the $1/yr lease on the land NDSU gave them for the land probably meant that the university was due something in return. I like it!

I hope this is true. So 100 in each corner is all they allow for standing room only. So the most they'll ever allow to be packed into the FargoDome is 19,100 give or take a couple?

This sounds great if it's true but how did we get from 16,500 to only 500 GA left in one day? That seems like a lot of tickets to sell in one day. When they say 500 GA left does that mean there are no reserved seats left?

Plus, it is on TV....I love the exposure. Any questions on moving to D1? I may have to dig up some old "McFeely" articles and post his initial thoughts. Appears he is now only going to write about how he can get the MSU coach fired. Should be awesome tomorrow. Nothing beats a rocking Fargodome!

On gobison.com it appears I can buy tickets in any of the options except end zone reserved so are there really only 500 tickets left?

Remember when we had to look forward to playing Augustana and Mankato State every year?

The initial post in this thread only talked about GA tickets, not reserved.

They may have used the figure (16,500) given out at monday's press conference.

The official seat count isn't 18,700 as reported by some sources. It is actually around 19,287. So a true sellout might be just under 19.7k if they are allowing 400 stand room spectators. That's quite a few fans!

The attendance last year for the SDSU game was 19,053. And it could have been higher if they had not stopped selling standing room only tickets.

I friend went and bought Gen Adm tickets from the south fargo Stop n go and they had maybe 10 adult tickets left as of 3:30 today.

This is why you buy early.

very nice to hear the the dome is so close to selling out WITH the game being on TV...just shows people are waking up and want to be IN THE DOME watching Bison football. Let's create that true college gameday atmosphere, get the dome rockin, and keep this fan base growing!!!!!

From the Media Blog

It apparently was a nutso day at the NDSU ticket office. About only 1,500 tickets remain for Saturday's game, meaning it will probably be a second straight sellout at around 18,700 if the school gets a normal game-day walkup crowd. That, of course, assumes about 4,000 students will show up to claim their reserved seats.

Selling out SDSU is one thing. Doing it against Stephen F. shows people are paying attention to a good football team.

Yes, that is indeed true - 19,287 is the football capacity according to Rob Sobolik, the Dome manager. All the media outlets that have 18,700 under the Fargodome info need to update it. The 19,287 number has been around since they renovated the seating in 2002.

And they say that the school up north is the "most popular" in the state.

Let's carry this through the year. I'd love to see the Dome become a good example of a college atmosphere (watching the Michigan fans last weekend just blew me away, same with Wisconsin) as opposed to a reading room that just happens to have a football game going on.

Sell it out, and sell out Sam Houston too!

Also this "wear yellow" campaign is awesome. I stopped in and picked up enough for everyone in my party. If they don't put it on, they're not getting in the truck.

Remember fans. Friends don't let friends wear red.

Exactly. I never understood why people do that.
