Just would like to remind everyone that Craig is on NBC tonight. I don't know how much he'll get to play. Hopefully he has a better game than the last one.

As of Friday he was listed as not playing this week due to a groin injury.

In any case, I hope the announcers say he's from North Dakota State, not North Dakota like they did in game 1.

Hmmm. He's not listed here as inactive:

Not sure what number he is, but is definitely not 49, 39, or 88 as listed on their site.

#49 it is, he JUST made that tackle! ;)

I swear I saw a black guy in a 49 jersey...must have been 48 or 47

Nope #49 is Craig Dahl. Of course he made his tackle when Al Michaels and John Madden's mikes were working. Al Michaels said you didn't miss anything while we weren't talking. It looks like they like to leave Craig back in coverage. They keep blitzing with other safeties. The thing to watch for is if he is in on special teams. That will be where he gets to play.

Blitzed once on the last series - quick throw to opposite side of the field.

I haven't seen him on special teams so far have you? I was hoping for an interception for him last series. Now we need a 3 and out for the Giants so he can get back on the field.

Funny, I was thinking the exact same thing. :D 30 seconds left.

Game over. No real action, but at least no big mistakes. Maybe this week the Giants fans will lay off a bit.

Those fans were slightly overreacting.

Yeah they were.

I double checked on ESPN and the one tackle he had did prevent a first down. It looked solid to me.

Must have been 3rd and a ton then, because he gained a ton before Dahl tackled him. I remeber thinking, wow this is a big pick up, Dahl better be involved. ;)

Dahl came up an made that solo tackle as soon as he could. Watching the QB (Reggie Bush) check off the middle field during the last few possesions it was obvious Dahl had his man covered. Most of the passes were to the outside (corner responsibility). One of the starting safeties for the Giants dislocated his elbow during the game so that might help Dahl keep his spot a while longer, even if he is on the bubble for being cut.

The guy who got hurt was a Free Safety. Not sure if that affects Dahl. Could he move over to FS?

"Safety Will Demps, who started every game last season and was challenging for a starting job this year, dislocated his elbow. Demps came up to hit running back Musa Smith, who caught a pass from Kyle Boller. Demps hit Smith, then fell to the ground and grabbed his elbow. After being examined by team trainers, Demps walked about 25 yards before he was drive off the field in a motorized cart."

Craig definitely had a better game. Does anyone know his chances to make the team??

I thought he looked good from the little I saw (such as the excellent tackle when the microphones were out.). There are currently two #49s on the Giants, which can be kind of confusing at times.

I thought he looked good, I was hoping on that blitz he would have had the opportunity to lay out lame Troy Smith. I hope Craig can keep it together and stay on the roster. We were cheering at Ground Round in Bismarck when we saw him, people there thought we were crazy.

Well aren't you just a little? :D

Since the ball wasn't thrown Craig's direction either means his receiver wasn't good enough to get open or Craig was covering him pretty well.
I hope it's the later, even if it was against a 3rd or 4th string reciever. :)

Coach Coughlin really likes him apparently. I was watching his 1st preseason game and the announcers were all saying how much the coaches liked his work ethic and stuff. Hopefully that still is correct.
