I wanna see 19,000+ ROWDY fans at the FFD on 9/8!!!

I saw the previous thread where people were talking about an Operation Sellout for the SFA game. I agree on this 120 PERCENT. We NEED to sell out the place and show the FSN cameras that we support BISON football in Fargo. We NEED 19,000+ ROWDY, RAUCOUS fans at the FFD rocking the place on my birthday, Sept. 8!!

That's why all of us should tell everyone we know that just staying home and watching on TV won't do. The ONLY people who should be watching on TV at a bar or their house are people who were unable to find a ticket, because the place is sold out!!!

SPREAD THE WORD!!!

I plan on being there with my closest 18,999 friends. I remember walking into the K-State hoops game with "SOLD OUT" on the ticket windows....it was a moment.

All NDSU employees receive a free pair of tickets for the first game. That should help. ;)

I predict SELL OUT.

Sept 8th gives everyone ONE extra week to get ready, gives students a chance to be back from Labor Day Break.

Whats the MOST students at a NDSU game I wonder? 3500-4000?

120,000 people in fargo area, 15%= 18,000 CMON FARGO!!!

According to my calculations:

7% of Fargo metro population (210,000) = 14,700
25% of NDSU student population (12,800) = 3,200
<.0004% of US outside Fargo metro (300M) = 1,100
Grand total equals a Fargodome sellout = 19,000

Its as easy as that! :) :D

WDAY said the NDSU sold another 100 season tickets last week. Now up to 6700.

Time to get off your butts if you do not have tickets yet.

From McFeely's column today: (http://www.in-forum.com/articles/index.cfm?id=174972&section=Columnists&columnist=Mike%20McFeely)

.........
3 questions for …
Troy Goergen, North Dakota State assistant athletic director for marketing:

Q: You’ve sold about 6,600 football season tickets so far. How much higher do you anticipate that number going before the season opener?

A: “I’d say conservatively, maybe another couple of hundred. That’s based on the last couple of weeks, we’ve been somewhat busy in the ticket office. It’s hard to say, but at some point we’ll probably stop seeing season ticket sales and start seeing single-game sales.”

Q: The Bison averaged 16,377 fans at home games last year. Will that number go higher this season?

A: “Yes, and that’s just based on an average of 10 percent growth each year for the last several years. If we continue to see that, it will grow. And just the overall interest in football this year is a good indicator that we will see a higher number.”

Q: When all is said and done, what percentage of ticket sales relates to winning and what percentage relates to marketing?

A: “The scale is probably going to tip on the side of winning. I could say 60 percent winning, 40 percent marketing, but I’m obviously somewhat biased toward marketing. The old saying is you make hay when the sun shines and marketing is like that. When you have a successful team, you take advantage of it. Seventy percent winning, 30 percent marketing is more realistic.”...........

I'm looking forward to this::: Once you see semi-consistent sellouts, the season tickets the following year will grow rediculously.

The majority of people I know that go to games still buy them one at a time.

funny more people don't jump on season tickets if for nothing else to get better seating.

It's probably the extra cost of the TM contribution to get any seating that is alot better.

I predict that NDSU will average over 18,000 fans at home games this year. Stronger schedule, later start to the year, more excitement from last year, larger student body, more season ticket holders. I think Herd Mentality also mentioned that they avoided key deer hunting weekends as well?

Yep, no Labor Day weekend games, no Veterans Day weekend games, no pheasant hunting opener games and no deer hunting opener games. Should be damn good crowds this year. 4,000 students out in full force every game, and no one dicking out to go put a bullet in a buck's brain. I predict we'll average somewhere between 17,000-18,000. Season tix sales will surpass 7,000 by opening kickoff.

If the 10% increase in attendance continues this season, the average this year should be over 18,000.
