Watched Craig as much as I could on TV Saturday night. It was hard b/c you don't get to see the secondary that much. Craig looked good for the most part came up and made some tackles. He led the team with 3 tackles, 2 of them assisted. The announcers were saying "Talking with the coaches the one guy who has really impressed is #49 Craig Dahl." Unfortunatley for Craig he got BURNED for a huge TD. The CB didn't help him that much but Craig got 3rd degree burned on that play. It looked pretty bad. Again I don't know if the CB messed up (he certainly didn't help) or what happened but if you are leading your team in tackles you must be doing something right. He also got a 15 yard personal foul penalty. :(. Didn't see it (the family was over and the Cubs were on) but hopefully he did good enough to earn more playing time. The stats are at http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/live/NFL_20070811_CAR@NYG. The recap is at http://www.giants.com/news/eisen/story.asp?story_id=25746. Great to see Craig in action again. Go Bison!!

The fans on their message board are saying he should be cut. :hide:

They are destroying him. It looked to me (in my expert football mind, yeah right) that Craig was nervous and was pressing a little bit. Hopefully the coaching staff has more patience than their fans. They are absolutly killing him.

Well, here is the quote from the game summary link provided at the start of this thread:
The game turned in a 2½-minute sequence that spanned the second and third quarters. After Ward’s touchdown gave the Giants the lead with just 54 seconds remaining in the half, Carolina responded with a quick-strike, four-play, 73-yard drive that was aided by a 15-yard personal foul penalty on rookie safety Craig Dahl. David Carr threw for 24 yards to Ryne Robinson. Two plays later, Biddle scored the touchdown on a 23-yard touchdown pass from Carr. A mistake in the Giants’ coverage left Biddle wide open on the right side of the end zone.
One thing good, sounds like Craig does not have a problem getting into the game. Maybe he just needs a chance to calm down and play the smart game with great tackling that he is capable of. I don't give a rip about what pro fans say.......its a frickin preseason game. If Dahl has the overall skills he will stay and be given the chance to mature. Glad to hear another Bison getting play time in the NFL.

Could you add a link to the fan message board. I want to see how bad these arm chair QB's are whining.

I watched the game, it was far from one of Craigs finest. The PF penalty SHOULD have easily been an an INT but he went after the big hit on an overthrown ball.

Hopefully they give him another chance, but I doubt there will be many more :smh:

He looked rough, but i think he showed enough to land on someone's practice squad at a bare minimum.

Hopefully he can play. You can't make the team in the tub.
