Rob Hunt played the whole second half at center for the KC Chiefs tonight. I tried to watch him as closely as I could. There was a play that he let a defensive tackle go and went after a linebacker, the running back blocked the tackle so it might have been planned. Rob had no penalties and seemed to move quite well. Unfortunately Rob was involved in the final offensive play that cost the Chiefs a chance to win the game. Rob was snapping the ball to Casey Printers the third string QB for the Chiefs from Cleveland's 3 yard line with 30 seconds left in the game when the snap was fumbled. The announcers weren't sure what caused the fumble and one actually said "I don't know it looks like Rob Hunt might have snapped it short and didn't get the ball to Printers". Hopefully the coaches thought he did well enough to earn more playing time on Thursday against Miami here at Arrowhead.

Hopefully Rob can catch a break in the next year or so. Nice to have an NDSU player starting in the NFL again.

Good news the fumble was not Rob Hunt's fault. Casey Printers saw the blitz coming and pulled out too soon.

Two plays later, Printers fumbled coming out of center, ruining his storybook finish.

“He’s trying to pull out of there (too quickly). He knows they were blitzing,” coach Herm Edwards said. “It would have been fun for the young guys. He orchestrated a nice drive there. He made a couple throws. He got out of the way (of the pass rush) and scrambled a couple of times.”

Printers said, “I knew what they were trying to do. In order for me to get the ball off, I was going to have to shoot back from center because I knew they were bringing the house.

“It was just a miscue I wish I could have back.”

He's #73 but there is another #73 on defense. I don't have HBO.

I saw him a couple of times in the 1st episode. A couple of plays and then there was some footage of an offensive line meeting where you can see him sitting.
